It did rain a ridiculous amount yesterday, the rivers were up like in winter. Which part of the marin was very wet, I've done it a few times thought it wasn't that bad. I think anywhere would have had standing water yesterday!

ooo no no no dont get me wrong im a sucker for getin wet and dirty, its just that the ammount of puddles slow you down on the marin cos you cant see whats in them
i understand that theres gona be more water when its raining dont get me wrong but if you ride any trail at CYB there wont be as many hudge puddles as there are on the marin
its not the little ones that bother me its the ones that you cant see the bottom of that usually occur on corners and such, i might have just got the idea in my head that its really wet up there from this guy i was speaking too on the trail who actually builds and maintains the trails in Afan forest in south wales, he thought that the ammount of standing water up there was not good and was wondering if any maintenance is being done on the trail, since i heard that the money for parking is supposed to be spent on maintenance
anyway aint gona stop me riding there just thought that a bit less water would make it more enjoyable is all

Marin isnt rely that bad, at least it just a puddle and not a swapish mosh like at Llandegla. The ground at marin is all pretty hard so it usually just runs down the mountain.

While it wasn't raining yesterday, there was the odd puddle, but not enough to say the trail needs draining.

When you think about it, the Marin would also be subject to much higher rainfall amounts due to where it is, as opposed to other places such as CYB and Llandegla. We frequently hear the wettest place in wales is Capel Curig !!!!!

I was surprised about how dry the Marin was yesterday considering the cr@p summer we've had. Only the odd puddle here and there, nothing serious.
