Me and a mate from Uni went down to Moelfre (the one near Oswestry) for the MIJ downhill event on the weekend Spent most of the Saturday morning practicing the course, learning the track but then had an off in the afternoon and spent the rest of the day resting. Sunday morning was more practicing, followed by two race runs. The weather was so good it was almost like being abroad and the track was the driest and dustiest track I've ever ridden. Came in at 24th out of 27 riders in my category with 2.45 (+28 secs), but the standard of riding blew me away, some seriously skilled kids out there. Can't wait to get on another uplift or get involved in another race weekend. Second race run

Cheers guy's, it was a really good weekend, well worth doing again!
Gaz, I would really recommend a race weekend, Moelfre was good because the track isn't overly technical, but then again Caersws is a lot of fun.
And Oggy everyone else had a DH bike, the next smallest bike was an SX trail, and only 3 other guy's in my catagory didn't have sponsers. You should come along to one of the races, now that you'll soon have alps experience.
