Well I suppose I better make it official and introduce myself proper like.
Been into mountain biking for years, mostly not too technical xc stuff back home in Perth, West Australia. Moved to the UK (London unfortunately for my biking, but thats where the jobs are!) about 3.5 years ago and it's only been in the last year or so when I've started to really explore the trails around the UK.
So far been in about 5 xc races not too far from London, done Dalby Forest, Forest of Dean, a CRC Marathon in Builth Wells, Nottingham and London to Brighton (road) several times.
It's only been Feb since I got my first full susser and I went for a lightweight wippet, a Cube AMS Pro R1 Mag. It's been heaps of fun and has been pretty good to me (apart from snapping a chain which sent me over the bars onto the road).
Met Oggy, Craig, Tim and Speedy Daz in Morzine in June and had an absolute blast. Went there by myself and ended up attaching myself to this motley crew like a remora on a sharks belly (nothing sexual). Learnt heaps and pushed my boundaries trying to keep up especially when the World Champs joined in, to the point where now I want a bigger bike to go down as well as up hills.
Met up with Oggy, Tim and some new members last weekend for a tour around Innerleithen and Glentress and still have post riding blues after experiencing probably the best trails I've ever ridden.
Just gotsta head up to North Wales now and check out some of your home turf trails which have been talked up mightily. Look forward to catching up with some of you in the not too distant future. ;-)
