I was actually thinking of taking the SS as it's already got Mud-X's on it so I wouldn't have to faff about changing them over ;-)

Everyone looking forward to this??? ;D Has anyone got any info on the course and whether it'd be rideable on a Cross bike??? I'm assuming that it's not based on the normal trails?

Has anyone got any info on the course and whether it'd be rideable on a Cross bike??? I'm assuming that it's not based on the normal trails? I think it uses some bits of the blue route (the initial climb and the run back to the car park past the reservoir) but the rest is all 'off piste' (one of the other race courses seemed to do this). Doubt there will be many big drops or any jumps, probably loads of roots and mud. The course should all be marked out by now, so anyone who's been up to Llandegla today might know.

We went around the black route on Thursday. There are yellow markings sprayed on the tracks to indicate the route. They seemed to lead you up the main climb, then turned right into the woods at some predetermined point, not sure what point it was though, as it wasn't down a fireroad or recognised path. I think the organiser just got fed up of walking up there and decided to walk back to the cafe by which ever way the crow flies spraying yellow paint along the way ;D Going to be very muddy ;D I think PaulEds may have an idea of the route

Have to agree with Mark there. A well organised event, well supported by plenty of spectators giving everyone lots of encouragement. Nice to catch up with the Wrexham based lads aswell. Apart from Punk, who passed me on that last climb after sitting on my wheel most of the way up Well done Mr Evans, a fine win. However, a push would have been nice up the hill as you lapped me Apart from feeling sick on the first lap and seriously considering jacking it in at the start/finish line, I started to enjoy it towards the end. Glad I carried on now. Nice to see all the MBNW tops out on the course aswell No pics from me but Tracey (Mrs Iggy) has got quite a few and there must be loads about somewhere on t'internet as there were plenty of cameras out and about. Also nice to see the Taylor clan out. Steve was marshalling while Scott and George were in the skills area. Looks like the 'Gnarly Crew' are about to have some serious competition soon

Great to see so many people Today and a big well done to everyone that took part and a well done to Dan for winning and lapping me on the last climb.
Not a great day for me, i even though of of binning it but got into a rhythym and my pace was alright but could not seem to give that little bit more and when i did my legs died
And as already said it was well Marshalled and plenty of support from everyone and plenty of Photos around im sure.
Anyway thats it until next year and hopefully back on the Bike at the end of November.

Bloody brilliant event today folks, great course and really well organised too. Nice to see plenty of familiar faces with loads of people getting stuck in and having a go. I was delighted to get my first win in a mtb race, really nice to finally be at a level where I could just ride away off the front and beast myself to the finish. Matt Pritch (Revolution cycles) and his mate Ed kept me honest though, always there keeping the pressure on and finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively. Did I mention that was a great course?! ;D Not sure about the running bit though! Looking forward to seeing some pictures.
