Bloody brilliant event today folks, great course and really well organised too. Nice to see plenty of familiar faces with loads of people getting stuck in and having a go. I was delighted to get my first win in a mtb race, really nice to finally be at a level where I could just ride away off the front and beast myself to the finish. Matt Pritch (Revolution cycles) and his mate Ed kept me honest though, always there keeping the pressure on and finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively. Did I mention that was a great course?! ;D Not sure about the running bit though! Looking forward to seeing some pictures. Well done Dan, we stopped for the first lap and to see everyone through. You were a good twenty to thirty yards in front when we first saw you and were confident you were going to win. Good turn out by everyone today and it seemed like a well organised event including what looked like paramedics on mountain bikes. Again well done to all

Certainly a good event, my first proper XC race. Can't wait for next year, I'm gonna try and do more like the midlands XC series.
Well done Dan

Well done Dan Glad you enjoyed it Steve, a bit of a different pace compared to an enduro but I think the XC stuff is a bit more fun and rewarding too. Good running into you again as well, must be 10years... Al- I wish I could have shared your faith, I spent the whole race looking over my shoulder keeping an eye out for that bloody Rasio Mona kit while trying to stay on the bike and make no mistakes in the woods. The Scott did me proud today, absolute flying machine coming down through the trees.

Well the weather God's smiled on us again! ;D A total of 97 riders in our biggest field yet for the event turned up for what really was a great days racing. I would like to thank all the staff at One Planet for their help in setting up and running the event, Tillhill for the forest, Alf Jones Cycles for the prizes, the marshals for giving there time up to come and help, the time keepers for sorting all that stuff out and the North East Wales Mountain rescue for providing the medical cover. Your all wonderful people! Thanks also to all the riders and friends who turned up and made it all worth while, hope you enjoyed it? Any feedback good or bad please let me have it,it helps us out next time you see. Right, i'm just off back up to the forest to tidy up! Cheers everybody, Rich and George. I'll post the results asap, hopefully later today.
