Hi just thought i would say a quick hello as i am new here. been getting back into mountain biking for the last 5 or 6 months riding at llandegla lots, and a bit from home on the clwyds. (so still pretty unfit and slow on the up's, but plod on and get there eventually) also did penmachno a couple of weeks ago did the first half of loop 1 then all of loop 2 but didnt have time for rest of loop 1 as it was going dark so we headed back quick on the road!!! gotta say that is my fave trail so far!!!

bike wise i bought a specialised hard rock and have been upgrading bit by bit, gears up to 9 speed cassete, new wheels just fitted some revalation forks today and some new tyres as my old ones were like slicks, not good for the snow. just need a new frame now, full sus prehaps. but need to do some christmas shopping for other people instead of myself so maybe in the new year.

Welcome to the forum Jon

If you're up for some weekend riding then look no further than the 'Plan your Rides' section, as this is where most of the rides are posted. (Although with the current weather conditions, most people are chosing to stay in the warmth of their houses at the moment ). If you see anything you fancy, just turn up and introduce yourself. Don't be shy, we're a friendly bunch on here.

There are quite a few on here that ride The Clwyds regularly, so there should be no shortage of someone to ride with. Also do a bit of night riding up there, so if you've got lights, get yourself out.

And don't worry about not being quick up the hills, you won't be the slowest Anyway, there's only one way you'll improve....

thanks for the reply. would like to get out for the xmas rode at coed y brenin but will be away unfortunatly so will have to wait for the jan one. was also reading about a ride from cilcain on wednesday night so will have a think about it and might put my name down.
