I've had the Santacruz for a year now and fancy something a little different.
Thinking about a high end -possibly carbon- hardtail, something that wouldn't look out of place on the start of an XC race.
Any suggestions??

scott scale mate, Just got rid of mine, very light bike add rapid on the uphills.
what you looking at spending?

I'm not going to spend as much as I did on the SC but certainly around the 2k mark. Not really a fan of Scott carbon to be honest. I had a Genius MC10 before the SC and it didn't last too long. Six months and it had turned into a creaky/flexy mess.  I've always wanted a cannondale so that's one option. |

I loved the scott scale 20 i had, it creaked a bit to begin with when new but when everything settled it was lovely, no problems with it at all.
There was a new 2008 scale 20 in Litespeed in betws down to £1600, nice price.
