One from today. Only one I managed before somebody told me there are no bikes allowed on Bryn Euryn Nature Reserve. It might be an idea to put the signs at the START of the trail, rather than at the END!

I've lived near there nearly all my life and find it annoying that bikes are not allowed-although you can take your dog and let it crap everywhere

Nobody used to mind people riding bikes there, we used to do it quite a bit as kids. When they put the track in to chop all the trees down they told people it would be left as a track for people to ride along

It's a shame because it's a really nice short ride just down the road from me. I can ride down, do a loop and be home in an hour, great if I'm stuck for time. I wouldn't mind, but as I say, the arrows lead you round the trail anti-clockwise, yet the no cycling sign is at the end of the trail if you go that way round. There is a sign in the car park that I checked before I rode, figuring that would let me know if there was a no bikes policy, but it didn't mention it, neither did the sign next to it which had bits of information including a no fouling sign. You'd have thought it would make sense to put a notice up on either of these to let people know within the car park area.

When they put the track in to chop all the trees down they told people it would be left as a track for people to ride along To be fair the people I met round the trail itself were friendly and nobody raised any objections. I even had a long chat with a gentleman I met up at the summit about photography and biking etc. It was only this guy that was down the bottom outside the allotments that had the problem. If it's not allowed then I guess that's fair enough, but the signs really should be better thought out, and I really don't see the problem, as long as you're curtious and considerate of other users.

There is no problem as long as your friendly enough with people, just some busybodies around trying to spoil peoples fun. Be hard faced and ignore them

Bryn Euryn has a hardcore of dog walkers- a sore point around Rhos on Se a where they seem to think their dogs have a right to freedom of toilet and dog rights where people take 2nd place. I know of more than a few people that have been bitten and threatened by dogs up there, and think its fine for the little sods to shite everywhere- so god help you if you or your bike get in their way

I know you don't mean it that way Sally, but you seem to be painting us dog owners with the same brush, you've met Jake so I'm sure you don't mean it about all of us.
Not all dog walkers are the same.
