Well Megan woody has won every round in the girls race so far this year so she deserves some new kit surely? ?? ;D ;D Simon is still trying to gain the illusive win so far this year but he's had enough of the parts off my bike already Plastic bike for him next year maybe

Well, final Go Race of this year. Has been a roller coaster ride. Journeys to all parts of North wales including Bangor A & E. The jnr had it all to play for today, first meant he won the series second meant second. Unfortunately came second (well done to Ben who won, good ride today), but won first prize in race numbers raffle so now I am the owner of rather nice Crank Brother multitool and Giant hydration sack Well only only seems fair after I paid for the petrol to all the races and his bike Has been a great series thanks to the hard work of Mike and Pauline, big thanks to them. Looking forward to starting again next April.

Doesn't time fly? Its April and the first round of the 2012 series is nearly here. Its at Coed y Brenin on Saturday 28th April, and is hosted by Dreigiau Coed y Brenin DRagons family mountain bike club.
Details can be found on the Welsh Cycling website.
If you are under 16 and love riding your mountain bike fast (or slow) come and have a go at racing.

My boy is just getting capable of riding a reasonable distance now - was there a 2012 series and will there be one in 2013 please?
Also, what is the total distance of the races please?

There was a 2012 series now complete. For the youngest children circa 5 plus they do two laps of a short course circa 10 - 15 mins racing. the 2013 series starts probably in march/ april. The contact is Mike Tong, contact details can be found on Welsh Cycling or pm me and will send to details. If you are North Wales based and fancy joining a club there are a number of choices. i think there is club based out of lllandega, my club Conwy based out of llanwrst or a club out of coed y brenin. Again pm me and will provide details. Our club has just restarted and are very much family based trying to get young children on bikes.

This series looks awsome. I have a 7 yr old daughter that would love to give this a go.
I live 4 miles from Coed y Brenin but would love to take her to all the others.
Do they have have to join a club and hold a BC or Welsh Cycling licence??
either way wer'e mad for it :-)
