Whats the longest distance you've ridden before?
I would suggest the mbr but at nearly 20kms and more technical than the Marin trail it may not be the best to start off with if you haven't a lot of experience/fitness.
The other one is the Tarw which is also something like 20kms but Ihaven't done that so can't comment.
The other one is the Afon trail but that's purely forestry roads - nothing technical.

Promise the forum ride wont be out of your depth, if you can do the marin then u will have no probs, all sorts of skill levels attend and its not a race more of a social gathering.
I wouldnt recommend you take the missus on the mbr and maybe not the Tarw if she hasnt riden before i would say stick to Afon.

CYB is the most technical out of CYB, Marin, Penmachno and Llandegla.

Just come along mate, u will have a ball, no one on here is that fit, we stop at every oppurtunity for a brew break which is more or less every 5 minutes
The ride has been changed to the mast instead of worlds end but starts form the same place at the same time. It takes in the Llandegla trail where you have a choice of red or black and plenty of oppurtunitys to cut it short if need be. Llandegla isnt technical at all, its really smooth ;D

I agree with whats been said so far: CYB is technically the hardest out of the Trail Centres in North Wales - Although in my eyes, the Marin and Penmachno Loop 1 are more physically demanding than the MBR at CYB.
Llandegla is by far the easiest Trail Centre. I'd go as far as saying that the Black route is easier than the Marin.
Personally i'd get your missus confident on the Llandegla Black before you take her to CYB. Its very rocky and technical there, definatley not for beginners.

I find Penmachno more technically demanding and every time I do it I question if I enjoy the trail, I don't find the Marin that challenging but I always enjoy it, as for CYB its both demanding technically and physically but very enjoyable, There are a number of sections that can catch you out but loads of others that keep you grinning and buzzing so all in all I think the place rocks.

I agree. Mbr and tarw are the most techoical trails out of the centres up here. They can be a real pain in the wet if you r new 2 biking. I took 2 lads i wrk with and did the temptiwr, which is bits of the mbr. Both ended up crashing and were put off biking.
