Hello, I'm new....
As a shift worker I get time off during the week, but the lad I normally ride with is now on a different shift to me, so to keep my enthusiasm going I need some people to go with. Basically, I'm fairly new to this lark, I've been riding around 18 months. I generally go to Llandegla, and to give an idea of my fitness I do the red in around 1hr 20 if I don't stop, though I prefer to take in the views if its a nice day (whats the point in being in gods country if you don't see it???). Dunno if I'd be too slow for most people on here, but I'm up for most things - though my wheels won't get much more than a few inches off the ground, if i'm lucky (fat git, y'see).
can't do the forum ride next month as I can't get the time off, but I'll keep an eye out for other stuff and try to get there...
Nice forum by the way, a bit more local to me than bikeradar...

Nice one. Welcome Campbell. Don't worry bout being too slow, I'd say 80 mins for the Red is good going. Better than me anyway.

We're always looking for company in Llandegla....... No hang on a minute that sounds a bit wrong. Almost as if it is another one of FTASB's chat up lines What I mean is there is a bunch of us who regularly ride llandegla. Any time you want to tag along just shout. Don't worry about pace that's not our thing. Lately I spend more time licking my wounds or fixing my bike than riding ;D ;D

Welcome. As said quite a few people live llandegla way and seem to be doing it quite often.

Never understood that one. My missus is from Flint, does that make my daughter 'off' Flint? Its a quandry like no other, thats for sure... maybe I should take a leaf out of your book Sikora and get out whilst the house prices are 'settling' The non-Flint's out there are thinking WTF are they on about...

I think its just a way of saying Flint is a hole.
I do actually miss the place though - spent 23 years of my life there
