I was wondering about the roadside photos as well. Thought you must have started really quick to take all those and still be in front on the first climb Well done everybody who took part, it was certainly pretty boggy in places, and didn't really live up to the dry and fast rolling trails description on the CRC website... not that I really believed they would be. I was pleased with a time which was 45 minutes faster than last time, although I think the course was a bit shorter this time as well. Here is the route of the long course in case anyone is interested: sportypal.com/Workouts/Details/1576387?key=29b2bb5ce3c4997f3d8d28123843c8d1cb149f9f&ms=1Oh and the whippets who were visting us from Cumbria got round in 4 hours 36 and 5 hours 10 for the long course ... the fastest one being not far off 2 hours faster than my effort

Awesome but brutal ride, fair bit of mud around and hill after hill after hill.... I did the 55km, got around in 4hr 20min. Was debating whether to do the 70 but glad I didn't as started to cramp up at the end. Best thing about the CRC's is they're so well organised, props to everyone who helped out, best thing I heard all day was "cmon, there's only 5 k to go and it's all downhill!"

Went along with my kids for a bit and stopped at Loggerheards around 3pm an dthen on to the finish about 4:30 There were some very tired looking people coming down Loggerherads towards the feeding station. I know a couple of riders chickened out and rode back to Rhuthin on the road - they did look absolutely goosed right enough Will hopefully get to ride it next year ;D

The lack of riding done this yr really showed, as I was an hr slower than last yr, well done to the ones that knocked time off their previous attempts.
But as mention it was a well organised event again this yr.

Heya wrex, I was the guy who spotted your jersey at the end there near the bike wash, I think you did well just to finish the 55 but there's always next year anyways ;-)

None of me, but I did spot Ben in photo#25. Some very amusing ones of the muddy patch

Well done to all of you, I still shudder when I remember doing the 50k from last year. Not easy!

I was wishing I'd stayed in bed Great event though and very well organised..... Nice easy recovery ride round the Marin this afternoon, only 2 weeks to go until the 60km Enduro at CyB I hope it's not another mudbath
