Finally got a new pair of wheels fitted them tonight and found out my rear brake doesn't work properly . I've got the same type of rotors as before (xt) the front works as before yet the back has to be pumped. Any ideas thanks in advance

Is the rotor central in the caliper?
If not loosen the bolts between the caliper and the frame/adaptor and slide it over a bit.

Yes mate all seems central , do you think bleeding the brakes could do the trick? Sure one day soon I will get some more off road under my belt ha

My brakes often need a bit of pumping to get them to come to life and have done for as long as I can remember. I reckon bleeding them would solve it but just can't be bothered.
Changing the wheel shouldn't let any more air/moisture into the brake line. If you've got the kit then you could try bleeding them - nothing to lose apart from an hour of time.

I may just bite the bullet and try a ride round degla after work and see if that brings them to life, just thinking the weather is a bit to good to miss out on. If not right I'll have a go at them on Thursday. Thanks for the replies

It sounds like you've caught the brake lever when having the wheel off maybe? A bleed will fix the problem shouldn't take to long to do
