So anyone who wants to see why give me a shout, and i'll do you all this deal, if you can ride down one of my tracks (the bar) then i'll happily show you all the rest. There's always someone better pal. No need for the arrogance.

I have been resisting getting involved, but i cant anymore. There is a reason that DH tracks are kept secret and i'm happy to show you ... So anyone who wants to see why give me a shout, and i'll do you all this deal, if you can ride down one of my tracks (the bar) then i'll happily show you all the rest. Me and a couple of mates would like to see why and anything with a bar in it sounds good to us ;D Let me know when you're available and we can hopefully sort something out. BTW you say my track I assume you mean it's on your land but if you can confirm as I'm not into trespassing. Look forward to riding with you soon and I'll return the favour at a later date.

Nah that's too easy Craig, I reckon that if this guy's the big man then we set a proper challenge, Top Gear style. Same bikes, Hughes' downhill track followed by a small xc loop. Fastest time overall wins. (I'll even show him one of my secret climbs and if he makes it to the top (without pushing or an uplift ) then I'll show him them all.)

Interested to know what your definition of a "tough guy" is though? Don't tell me your mates keep telling you they don't know how you sit down with "b0ll0cks that big"

[Interested to know what your definition of a "tough guy" is though? Don't tell me your mates keep telling you they don't know how you sit down with "b0ll0cks that big" Keyboard warriors, who give people like Andy Sh!t about protecting trails and then dont step up when someone offers you the chance to ride a track and potentially see other tracks. Good luck at Dyfi. Just to let you know motoxman, i'll make an excepton. Any weekend youre free i'll take you up to the bar so you can ride it. PS if there are any sound people on here apart from Andy & Bannister then we do have alot of really good tracks so would be happy for you to ride with us.

To be honest Hughes, I don't hink you'll find many 'keyboard warriors' on this site, as the vast majority of people who post on here actually ride their bikes Also, I think Andy didn't help himself by shooting off in his first post. Dave posted a couple of pictures of the track that he'd found, with a brief outline of where they were, just to see if anyone knew anything about them. I don't think he was advertising them or planning to get a group together to ride them. If he'd have posted without the attitude, I think people's reactions would have been totally different. Good luck at Dyfi. Just to let you know motoxman, i'll make an excepton. Any weekend youre free i'll take you up to the bar so you can ride it. You picked the wrong weekend there as there are about 15 people form here doing the Dyfi Winter Warm-up. Again, hardly keyboard warriors PS if there are any sound people on here apart from Andy & Bannister then we do have alot of really good tracks so would be happy for you to ride with us. I think if you take the time get out with some of the people on here, you'll find most of them are 'sound'. I'm sure Dave (Bannister) will vouch for that. I'm sure some of the lads would like the opportunity to get out and try some new trails, there are quite a few on here who like their DH. So why not take the opportunity to post a ride up in the 'Plan Your Rides' section ? No need to name the trail, just a meeting place and time and you never know who will turn up. BTW I'm not a DH rider, so have a good excuse for chickening out ;D

I was going to say some toys will be getting thrown out of prams soon, but Tarbo beat me too it.
Firstly no one can criticize hughes for offering to show us his tracks. If you want to ride them come along.
hughes, Thank you for offering to show us your tracks. I hope your not childish enough to try to get someone to follow you down a track (you know well) blind and criticise them for not keeping up, or hitting a blind 20’ gap without stopping to look.
I am considering taking up your offer, but its hard for me to plan 2 weeks ahead so will let you know closer to the time.
Finally I don’t want to waste your time and mine. If your plan is to have a good days riding some steep technical DH tracks then I’m considering taking up your offer. If you just want a fall guy, or are going to just take the piss cause I can’t keep up with you on a track you’ve ridden loads then I won’t bother. I’ve got back on my DH bike for the first time in months last weekend, so not on top form at the minute (just so your aware). How would your track compare to say Champery (probably the most severe track I’ve ridden)?
Is your track upliftable (I might be able to bring pickup if enough people to justify driving)? I might also be able to return the favour with some tracks at my end.

I don't think I'd have a problem riding the track, however with some of the attitudes I've seen, I'm not sure I want to now. As Tarbo said, the majority of people on here are good folk and the only reason they post here is because, like you and me, they want to ride their bikes. The majority of people on here are conscientious, and the guys that ride downhill (that i know of) are a good bunch who respect tracks and their builders. There was no need for you and your mate to come in here with the attitude that you did, so thanks but no thanks. Think I'll stick to the tracks I know around here (there are tracks i've had a hand in digging as well, and would be more than happy to show folk on here where they are).
