Haha, I'll have WADA banging on my door in a minute wanting to check my biological passport.

Ok he has taken drugs but if a normal cyclist took drugs would they be able to compete with Alberto? I don't think so. Still an amazing athlete. In fact everyone that even finishes the tour is very very talented

I say let them all take a bit of gear ;D It'll make racing far more entertaining for the audience Just look back through history, Coppi (on speed), Anquetil (whez again), Simpson who unfortunatley died as a result, Merckx in the Giro, Gert-Jan Theunisse, Fignon!!, Leipheimer, Vino and my favourite most entertaining cyclist of all time Marco Pantani and now Contador they all had two things in common. Took some gear and were great to watch

That suggestion has been mooted many times; but if you study the results they have either died earlier than expected or gone gaa gaa. With EPO it's been known for riders to have to get up in the night and pound the turbo trainer to stop their blood turning to "jam" . Nor good for any sport. I have my doubts about some of these marathon runners abilities.

Don't really understand all this, he's been caught so he's banned, that much seems straightforward.
I've read Cavendish's book recently and he makes it pretty clear he's anti-drugs, but they all seem to say that until or even after they're caught!
Very confusing as I can't really work out who's racing and who's chemically enhanced??

I think its a cleaner sport than it was, what with the introduction of the biological passport but there are always going to be riders who take a chance. I think there was only one rider who tested positive at last years TDF which is an improvement over the basd old days when whole teams were asked to leave (the Festina affair).
I've also heard that the time that riders take to go up the really big climbs has increased which again could be because they are riding clean.
