Is it just me, or is the very last 100 metres of the Marin bordering on dangerous? Just as the car park comes into view you have a rocky section with a reasonable drop to your left.
Maybe it is because I took my son around part of the route today that I have suddenly become risk averse. But the rocks were very slippery today.

It's quite easy to have a bit of stumble up there, but I wouldn't say it's particularly dangerous... It's always been like that since I've ridden it as well.

It's always been a bit tricky since I've been riding it, but no more technical than some of the other sections. It does get slippy, but so does the first/second descent.
The most dangerous thing about that is that it's a straight downhill into the access road for the car park. If someone's coming along the road you have to hope they see you and keep out of your way ;D

Don't think its any worse than the rest of it, although there is one rocky section in the last bit where you need the right line and a bit of momentum. People have different sections that worry them, for me it's the probably the bit with the low wood fence before it that makes me slightly nervous at speed. Talk to Rallybiker and it's probably spookyman corner ;D

not that bad, but probably feels worse as you think you have done it all. I have fallen off there because I wasnt thinking about the trail but getting back to car. Luckily no one around to see me. Thats the worst part of it, falling off in front of anyone driving in/ out or in the car park.

Thanks for the comments. I've not done it loads of times, but hadn't had a problem with the end before. I think I probably just did it without thinking. When I am with my son I am thinking "that looks dodgy, I hope he doesn't fall off." Well actually what I am thinking is "if he hurts himself my wife will kill me." Doesn't help that he is using the tyres that came with my bike that I changed because they were crap on wet rock.
Mind you, I did fall off about 200 metres from the start yesterday. Much to Matt's amusement.

I fall off there on a regular basis- or get stuck on top of that stupid hump.

So you gave your lad rubbish tyres so you would be able to keep up? If I've never managed to injure myself on that bit, I'm sure there is nowt to worry about. And I fall off alot.
