Looking at 2 bikes for xc/enduro racing this year. I've decided on a 29er but I'm now torn between the Scott Scale Pro and the Cannondale Flash 2. Test rides are out of the question (nobody has demos), specs are very similar and prices the same. Cannondale has a slightly better spec with Stans wheels and carbon bars/post. Orange 5 in it  I haven't actually clicked on the links and looked at them but assuming the dale come with a leftgay fork then the scott and you never hear of anyone moaning about Scott carbon frames |

Scott scale.
However I am biased and the Cannondale might also be a very good bike.

Dan, why do ya wont a 29er, they are pig ugly, and not good for your street cred  I think its a myth about all the hype about them.. At the end of the day its all about the rider and his performance, and that's something you don't have to worry about . Stick to what you know. |

Is the stem length and angle due to it being a 29er or are they just that short and negative angled to appeal to roadies? ;D
I'd probably want to see them in the flesh to decide which was better.

Wow, after the overwhelming victory for the Scott I'm going to go for the Cannondale.  Looks like Alf Jones can put their hands on one for me as well. Tidy! |
