I have a set of Fox Talas RL up front on my Rocky Mountain, which until recently I have been over the moon with. I've been keeping an eye on air pressure and looking for signs of oil leaking on the upper leg as a warning that they are due a service, but as yet both have been fine. Whilst fitting my new rotor 2 weeks ago I noticed the anodising had rubbed off a portion of the LHS upper tube right behind the strengthening arch. No problem thinks I. There is a 2year warranty on Fox forks. Oh how stupid am I It seems that this is classed as wear and tear and to quote MOJO. You wouldn't claim a warranty issue when your chainrings wear out I have emailed Fox direct and they state their forks require servicing every 50Hrs of ride time, which for most of us would be every 3months. Ridiculous. So unless you plan on spending £100 quid every 3months then your Fox Warranty is not worth a Wannk MOJO have said they can repair my Forks but it will cost £215plus P+P As the upper tube is already damaged and the seals are still holding air then I'm going to keep riding them until they start to leak. During which time I need to start saving for a hefty repair bill or a different set of forks.
