Last time we rode Snowdon my fingers almost fell off as i was only wearing normal long finger riding gloves, and it was bloody frezzing up there so I want to get some proper winter riding jobbies
I looked at some seal skin ones in west end cycles today and they looked pretty warm but maybe a bit to bulky for for riding, I want somthing that isnt going to compromise my grip and braking on the downhills, going to have a look in lightspeed tommorow, any one got any recomendations?

I used to have a pair of Endura Strike gloves for winter riding - www.endura.co.uk/Product.aspx?dept_id=106&prod_id=13They're comfy as fook, warm and waterproof. Really recommend them. Not got them any more though cos i ripped the waterproof lining out in a fit of rage

Last year I bought some "No Fear" ski gloves from "Soccer Sport" for about £3. They have a removable liner and good grip. They kept my pinkies warm all last year and for £3 you can't go wrong. They are a bit bulky with the liner, but I only use the liner in arctic conditions.

Ive not worn them to ride yet but they got a good review in the mags and Ive been told they're the mutts nuts. They will be in me pack for the ride down on Sat.

Neoprene diving gloves - work really well. I also use them on tower climbs in winter.

The only problem i imagined when trying them on was their thickness. Do you find that as a result you get finger fatigue if you're working the brakes often or are they ok?

I dont have any problem with that at all, they are kinda tight. The reason I like them is I can feel through them, manipulating connectors and small screws in the rain is a "pleasurable" task and these are the only gloves I've tried that allow that dexterity. I have some ME gloves asa well but as I sweat they eventualy feel cold and clammy, the wetsuit gloves feel nice and warm even when pi$$ed wet through ( obviously)
The only thing I did with mine was cut the stupid wrist flap thingy off as it snags on things which both on towers and on my bike seem like a high risk.
n.b. there are only to types of diver, those of us that pi$$ in our wetsuits and those that lie :-)

Great big steel ones with antennas on them - I don't *need* to do it these days but I keep my ticket up to date for rescue etc.. plus its always a handy thing on the cv etc..

I bought some Seal Skinz last year, they are cr*p! They get very wet and soggy why they claim the gloves are waterproof is beyond me. There also a Tw*t to get off and on once soaked. I am wondering what gloves if any will keep your hands warm, dry & toasty.
