Has anyone done the bridle wasy in Cwm Pennant back of Llandrillo (Rupert or Buffy)? There are a few that reaches Milltir Cerig and back down to The Pali. This could be linked up with the track that climbs out of Llanderfel to link into Cynwyd. Any info; as I've been looking at it for a while but haven't the fittness to tackle it at present

Done the one that Rupert links to first as a descent from Milltir Gerrig that was part of a 50km route off flattyres website. started in L.D.C & was clockwise finishing with the wayfarer. Is just a track, but was fun & fast. pic from last bit of descent photo set here, but a couple are in the wrong order for some reason.

I've done the track from Cwm Pennant over to Milltir Cerrig (Rupert's first link). Seem to remember it was pretty decent, doubletrack I think.] My GPS gave up on the ride so I don't know exactly which way I went back down to Llandrillo - I might've gone along the bridleway to the east through the forest but there's a good chance I looked at how steep it was and sacked it off as it was at the end of a 60km ride ;D The bridleway over the top of Bryn Ysbio (where it says Hafod Hir on the map) is a nightmare to navigate in places. There are tracks up to the top of the hill on the Cwm Rhiwarth side (muddy in places), but it wasn't obvious if it was the bridleway or not. I think there was also a bridge over the stream on the track that had the deck missing when I was there ::: On the Cwm Pennant Melangell side it's a big boggy heather moor at the top and the paths aren't very obvious. I did have a load of photos but they went along with fotopic northwalesmtb.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=ridedays&thread=2622&page=1I'd be up for some bridleway bashing sometime (can't do this weekend though). Could park in Llandrillo, ride up to Milltir Gerrig then up the road towards Llanderfel and down the other track back down to Llandrillo?

Thanks. Off to ride some forest trails in Scotland soon. Hope to ride the 30 miles Ardnoe Trail loop again if legs hold out on the climbs. It's a 19km off road with 10km canal towpath to start from Lochgilphead then back again
