Would that climb be the Leg Burner ;D Im totally knackered after today, suffering from Cramp on the Summit Trail and sadly i found Nant-yr-Arian quiet poor for directions especially to the Continental trail but never mind it was still a good day. Trying to work out where the Continental trail started but it was a few miles back ;D Now Me,Oggy,John,Tony and Dylan headed off to the Climachx trail for some extra punishment and when we arrived there was a few rally cars leaving so we headed up to the carpark where it looked like the trail was open and around 30mins into the ride we hit a piece of tape closing off the trail onto the fire road and what a place to put it so we had to ride/run with our bikes to reach the next section and well it was adrenaline pumping, madness and other words i wont post ;D All in all the trail was nice if a little wet the downhill was good but with tierd minds and legs we couldnt get a flow going, but when we finished at 1630 it was just in time as by the time we had reached the road on our way home it was raining heavy. Anyway guys thanks for today even though it didnt go to plan....note to self....recce the route next time and dont let Tony lead ;D

Think Rob about covered it and what a would call a very interesting day , Some very tough climbs with excellent flowing down hill sections just for good measure, also the first time I've done two different trails in the same day . And as always good company so cheers lads ;D

Im fecked, quality to do 2 new trails in the one day, proper good laugh as usual. Fair play lads we even get lost at a sign posted trail centre ;D, not bothered tho coz it ment we got to do the climachx which was cool (all is forgiven Tony).
As Rob said we got to ride a live Rally stage which was well scary, got the stains in me pants to prove it ;D.
Nice 1 lads, top fun, hopefully catch ya all soon
ps. no pics from me today due to trashing me camera coming down Snowdon last week ;D

Felt like a naughty school kid running up that road, jumping in to the side everytime we heard a car

Morning lads, thanks for the ride yesterday. Unlike the others Dave and I stayed at Nant and did the summit trail a second time. Second time round was a lot better and quicker, knowing the track more. But damn the leg burner a second time was sole destroying I walk pretty much all of it. I think we got back to car at about 15:30 and left Nant 16:15 so weren't far behind you on the way home.

Good ride guys. You all missed out on a nice bacon buttie at the trail cafe in Nant yr Arian. Did we end up doing all of the Summit trail then?

Hehe that leg burner is a bit of a shocker after doing al the other climbs on the Syfydrin trail, so what did you all think of Nanty...not sure from your posts if you were all that impressed. I really like the place, especially if you don't dwell on the leg burner. ;D

We didn't do the Syfrdin ady, we got lost at a signposted trail centre! ;D
I think we did do the whole of the Summit trail though.
I liked what we did, plenty of fast flowing single track. It's definitely worth a revisit to try and do the whole Syfrdin.

It's definitely worth a revisit to try and do the whole Syfrdin. WE did the same thing on the Summit Trail and ended up doing the top half of the leg burner twice . As I had been there before I realized our mistake and we got back on route. I have also notice from the first pic that most of you seeem to favour flattie pedals.

Oh the bacon buttie was nice John, they also had a home made curry there with chips which was really tempting. Took it you liked the Climachx?
I normally ride clipped in ady, but put on flats for the snowdon ride and haven't changed them back yet.

Hey glad you guys made it back alright! Thanks for yesterday guys. Hehe i'm still laughing when i think about us diving into bushes as someone shouted "CAAAAR!" That was one, (or two?) mental, tough but thoroughly enjoyable ride(s). Great company as always, some great scenery, weather was ok and we accidentally came third in the Dyfi Rally stage, so all in all a good day!
