As most of you are aware, as well as mountain biking, the majority of us also participate in other types of biking, whether it be road bikes, time trialling or triathlons. To accommodate these events and to stop them being posted in the mountain biking section on this forum, we have decided to introduce a new section dedicated to non mountain biking activities. This section will contain two headings, ‘General Chat’ and ‘Events’. The General Chat section is intended for any questions people may have on anything bike related that does not involve mountain bikes, such as racing, time trial techniques or just plain road riding etiquette. The ‘Events’ section is self explanatory really; the place to post up non MTB related events such as sportives, triathlons and road races. These sections are not intended for people to post up their planned rides on road bikes, any such post will be deleted. There is already a ‘Post your Rides’ section on this forum which can be used to post up any rides that people are planning on doing. These new sections will be closely monitored to ensure they are kept on topic and we will try and move any inappropriate posts into their correct sections. I have left this thread ‘unlocked’ to enable you to post some feedback on this development. Obviously you can’t please all the people all the time, but we think this will help develop the site and may even provide people with a target to aim for. Admin Team

Does this mean we (mtbers) won't have to put up with threads in the "mtb" sections being taken over by "roadie" talk anymore!

That's the idea Gus ;D Nobody forces you to open up this site so why moan if you don't agree with some of the postings . Even at my age I enjoy MTB'ing and the Roadie side; each keeps me fit for the other.
