As I was slogging up to the top of the pass on the Ruthin CRC marathon, chatting to someone who had completed the event the previous night he mentioned that you could by some decent lights for night rides for about £8 on Ebay,he didnt mention the name ,Any ideas?

You can go wrong with them as it's hit and miss whether you get a decent set or not. They can also be temperamental depending on weather conditions i.e. if it's a bit damp they can start playing up. I still use them but also take the Hope as you're pretty much guaranteed the reliability with that when the others fail or run out. You get what you pay for ultimately. Wouldn't want to put my life in the hands of a £8 torch off road BTW What time did you do Saturday sportive in?

My lights have been great and i've had them a couple of years now, but i always take a spare battery just in case.Saturday 7.45 for full route & Sunday 6.57 the full route.
