converting from QR to 10 or 12 bolt through

are there any benefits from converting a hope pro11 rear hub from QR to bolt through? my front hub is bolt but my older hope rear is QR. is it a strength thing and would the dropouts on a 2011 stumpy accept the new axle? (im guessing the end caps would be the same outer diameter, just bored larger inside to take 10 or 12mm)
