I do a bit of a ride each morning on the way into work. Wednesday was awful - loads of ice everywhere so on Thursday I did one of the shorter rides as it was dry, warm and sunny in Wrexham and I fancied an easy morning. This is what it was like in Bersham (only a couple of miles away!) Cars were coming down the road into Bersham, then passing me going the other way after turning around due to fallen trees. And up at New Brighton: After trying to send the last photo to a mate my battery died so I didn't get a chance to take any of the dozen of so fallen trees that I had to ride through a bit further down the bridleway! There were loads of people out walking dogs, fighting their way through the branches as well, so we had a good laugh about the weather. When I got to work there was no snow whatsoever. I'm glad I had my phone with me because nobody believed me at first.

Snow's brilliant, I hope we get more too. I'm hoping there will be some left at Llandgela tomorrow and it won't all have been compacted to buggery. I didn't have any 'near misses' on the ice: My front wheel went from under me and I went with the bike! Bruises should be on display on Sunday.

Ive had fun on the boardwalk at Llandegla in the snow & Ice still managed to stay upright and clean it though I checked Llandegla's website this morning before setting off and it said all the trails were closed so i decided to sneak in over the Offa's Dyke boadwalk which was a bad idea as the boardwalks were really icy and the snow just too deep in most places: When I got into the forest some guys riding the trail said there were signs up saying the black and red routes were shut but everywhere else was open so I stuck to the blue which was a bit icy in places. By the time I'd got to the cafe they'd opened up all the routes but I was frozen so went home!

been llandegla this morning, had to rescue a couple of kids no more than 11 years old at the bottom of the bridge by the cafe, 1 was lying facing the back of his bike still clipped in, took a while wondering how to sort him, the other lying by him couldnt get up cos his overshoe had snagged under his pedal, would have been in 2 minds myself about tackling the bridge looking at the state of it 1st thing this morning

I slid a bit turning onto the bridge and hit the fence this morning. I went down the slope really carefully but ended up sliding most of the way down following someone else's tracks. That was about 10:30 after a few others had cleared some of the way.

Ahh yeah I saw a few of them at the cafe. The kids looked thoroughly p****d off so maybe two of them were the ones you helped!
Someone eventually came over, took their bikes to bits and shoved them in the back of a shogun.
