A couple of us are off to Bulgaria riding for a week in June so does anyone have a bike box I could borrow, (happy to offer a ware and tear fee and obviously replace if damaged at all). Also easy to follow instructions on how to get the bike in it and back together again afterwards Also if anyone fancies going let me know and I'll forward you on the details.

We have two Neil Pryde bags from Evans that have survived a quite few trips now, although the mice in our loft in the last house did their best to eat them. Something a bit like this, but they don't make them any more: www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=5539Seem to work fine. I think the consensus is that bags work better than boxes because they use less of the weight allowance and boxes can get broken or are pretty unweildy so the baggage handlers don't like them and throw them around. The weight is a consideration when some of the airlines only give you 20kg allowance now. 20kg sounds a lot, but it isn't when the bag weighs about 6kg and other stuff like shoes and tools tend to end up in there. It was quite a challenge to keep it that low last time. We're using them in late spring, so probably won't be off on another jolly in June. If you want to borrow one then that should be fine.
