Went and done Degla today, didn't put the ride up cos it was last min, got caught wearing a customer's underwear, she said she was out for the day but came home early , anyway enough about my fetish's.. Its only the 2nd time I've done degla, was 16months ago, been some dam good changes since and all make some spot on riding 6inchs of snow in parts at the top. Done the red/black today, but last time i remember the final decent had fast berms and 2 big drop offs ending up at the bike wash..Today i was disappointed cos none of that,, took the last sign post on red Julie's trail leading to a Bland finish just below the bike wash Where did i take a wrong turn??

You're thinking of the Freeride area mr Smith, not part of the standard trail. You need to go round the lake instead of doing the last singletrack to the centre, join the old red and the start is near the top car park and pump track

It sounds like the last time you did Degla it was before they extended the red/blk, if so that would have brought you the old way back past the freeride area thats where the drop offs are, having said that they have been reduced in size, they used to be about 4ftin high but are now 2ft (due to the amount of time the paramedics where spending there) and the berms and jumps are still there. When you go up the double track to the lake (just before the final descent) you can go straight across along side the lake to the tree line this will put you on the old red route back to the freeride and top carpark. I hope this helps
