great when they work, but a complete pain when they don't.
ive decided to give up on them now. had load of crap on sat on the climachx, and last time i had a blow out in the quarry i had to push my bike 4 miles home.
any one else using tubeless? what do you think?

I'm tubeless on the VP and find it really good. Had a blowout hooning down the rocks of Drum when I put a wee rip in the back tyre but I always carry a spare tube in my Camelbak for just such a situation. Bit of a pain with Glentress coming up as I'd like to fit some proper DH tyres for Inners but other than that I love it. Going to convert the Scott once I get 5mins and decide whether I'm going to invest in some uber-light wheels.

I've killed two pairs of UST Nobby Nics, one pair coming down Drum and another pair on a super fast Clwyds descent. In both cases they deflated slowly rather than blowing out. On looking at the ones I killed on Drum, the rear tyre had 7 holes in it. Now using Conti Verts & MK USTs which seem a bit tougher and more resistant to Welsh Slate.
I carry a couple of spare tubes, a Panaracer UST tyre repair kit and some used toothpaste tubes & duct tape to bodge a tyre boot if needed.
I've had tyres burp on me if I have the pressures a bit too low, but I that was due to me experimenting on how low I could go and what it would do for grip.
On Mavic rims I can get tyres on and off with my thumbs, but DT Swiss rims are a right nightmare.
