I have finally done Penmachno it is awesome! Did Loop 1 & 2 (does anyone know the full length?) and really enjoyed it so thats my first vote.
It was actually very much like the black run in Glentress Scotland but slightly shorter.
My 1st Vote is Penmachno My 2nd Vote TBC

And the 'best' route locally for me has to be the Carnedd Uchaf loop starting from Sycnant Pass. With over 6000ft of climbing, 30 miles and a max height of 3022ft it really gives you that sense of being in the great outdoors alrite, i'd really like to see a map of this trail- have you got a link please? Best local trail I would say 1/ Marin 2/ Cli-machx

I could make some money out of this route ;D With it not being entirely legal I'm not sure whether I should post it on the site.. If the heirachy give it the thumbs up, then I'll be happy to put the map up. But with all the fuss about forums posting maps about 'illegal' routes, I hope you can see where I'm coming from. Fingers crossed then

Interesting that nobody yet has mentioned something like the TARW at CYB.

I love the pink hefer on the MBR and Dragons back route. So I voted MBR
I also voted Marin coz its closest to me! I don't like it on weekends and hol though, too many people riding up my arse!!! I'm not the fastest!
I'd like to recommend the bikefax books too. I've done most of the easier Snowdonia ones and find Llewellyns loop in Beddgelert forest great!! My other half did Llyn Colwyd and Loved it!!! Our aim in the summer is to do the tour of Snowdon, up the Pass, Down to Beddgelert, Up the Rydd Ddu and down telegraph valley! Tiring just talking about it!!!!

MBR was far more fun Yeah I guess, there is quite a bit of fire road on the Tarw, but I'm a big fan on the single tracks, especially the rocky section which is called Pins and Needles I think. The uphills nearly killed me on a Nomad today though.

You won't see the best of it until you hit the big rocks. ;D Did you like it? ;D I must say I was quite disappointed by the Tarw, pretty tame with a massive fireroad descent, WTF is that all about?

It was a superb bike on the way down, just point and shoot and not worry much about a line. It had the fox vanilla fork and dhx coil at the back. Really impressed with it's downhill/technical ability.

I must say I was quite disappointed by the Tarw, pretty tame with a massive fireroad descent, WTF is that all about? Turn right at the bottom of Rocky Horror Show to cut out the fire road loop. To add some extra mileage on that side of the road, at the end of Al's loop go straight over the fireroad then follow that singletrack for about 800m down to the next fireroad where you can again go straight over for another couple hundred meters of trail. Obviously you'll have walk down this singletrack gem due to it not being an official trail section. You come out about halfway down snap, crackle and pop.
