A massive thanks to 'The Holey Trail' for the use of a QR 20mm axle for my Zocchies.
I thought I wasnt riding after forgetting to put mine in the car but Dan's suggestion of a longshot trip to the bike shop paid off.

Defo in for the Ruthin Merida Its also got me in the mood for some more long distance epic rides rather than just doing a trail centre trail on the weekend. I suppose with training rides its best to pick a loop near home that you enjoy and can easily get out and do in an evening after work. Ive come to the conclusion that just being a weekend warrior will not improve me fitness any more have been trying to out at least 2 or 3 times on week night on some loops that I have put together, some road and some off road. Easier said than done with the good old British weather and other commitments

I'm a little confused... Number 540 was supposed to be mine, yet it's not me in the pic.. I can guarantee it's not me cos i was laid up in bed all day with a fooked back after laying a load of paving on the Saturday!!! I never informed them i wouldn't be turning up as a shit load of painkillers on the morning knocked me for six and i just slept.. I'm curious to know how he got my number, unless he was just hanging around registration at the cut off time and seeing as i hadn't signed in they presumed i wouldn't be there??? Anyway, looks like it was a good turnout for the MBNW team and you all had a great time. A big congratulations to you all for doing it and to the guys who turned out to support you. I'm giving up DIY as it's far more dangerous than mountain biking!.. Well done guys!!
