Results of the reconnaisance operation are in: Blue is the 50k (goes clockwise). Red is the extra loop for the 75k (this section goes anticlockwise). Drinks station at Moel Famau car park and in Loggerheads. Looks like there's a lot of riding on the A494 I'm number 2249 - seems like there are a LOT of people doing the 50k (I was 2053 and 2039 on the last two) I'm 2298 so theres prob over 300 on the 50k

That was a tough old ride today. 4 hours 10minutes for me and about 3hours 15 for Thistle, the first MBNW'er home - well done there mate! I can't beleieve how much cramp I got towards the end of the ride. Started sometime near Cilcain and then got me a belter on the final run into Rhuthun - Quads and hamstrings - not good All in a great day (various mechanicals excepted) and I think everyone done themselves proud - even Wrex who had a nasty fall , but still finished the ride with some support from Mark . And a big nod to Gaz Evo for riding most of it with no back brake

Pics loading into photobucket as i type. Thistle assured me that they'd be at the stream crossing at 10.30, giving me plenty of time to get some pics and get home to take the little'un swimming. Roll on 1130 and the first one came through ;D I think Thistle was the only mbnw-er I saw I'll post the pics in a bit, but fair do's the lad in front was fast as fook, a good 5 minutes ahead at the point that I saw him...

Campbell - Thought you were going to the Ruthin side of the hill for 10:30 Sorry I had you standing in buttfook nowhere for ages! Oggy - Grassy climbs but I think there were more wet grassy descents! Dave - I had cramp too for a while and I'm usually fine. Must have been all that grass ;D

Very well organised event with plenty of words of encouragement from spectators and all the marshalls alike. Didn't realise you'd done it that quickly Pete, well done Completely forgot to look at times etc when we got back - hopefully they'll be on the website soon. Roll on next year ;D

there was a few offs on the sleepers...nice n slippy i expect! Yeah I was one of them There was an extra bit of boardwalk off the normal legal routes which someone spun off on. The rest of us decided to walk that bit and on the other side was a woman shouting to us to slow down because it was slippy

I've put the pictures on the gallery section, there's only thistle from here, but there's some decent photo's, shame I had to get off at 12, had some 'dad' stuff to do before my 3 days away. Gonna have to ride it next year...
