There seemed to be 10x as many marshalls on this ride as at Llanwrtyd and Selkirk and they were all very encouraging and enthusiastic which was fantastic.
It was nice to see a lot of the marshalls had ridden to their marshalling points as well!
One of the drink stations was being run by people from the Clwyds AONB and it was great seeing them supporting the event, as well as some good banter!

Im sure I read somewhere that the rugby club take a part in running this round by supplying marshalls. Was good to see a marshall was never far away even had some help lifting bike over a fence on the 75km route.

Of the 288 riders who registered for the 50k: Some of the leading times look dubious, possibly riders dropping down to the 25k - I think Thistle was told he was about 5th or 8th of the 50k's when he crossed the line? 17th - Thistle - 3hrs 17 mins  45th - roy - 4hrs 0 mins 57th - Davydonn - 4hrs 10 mins 64th - ninja penguin - 4hrs 14 mins (so wupped punk's ass) 65th - punk - 4hrs 14 mins 78th - al - 4hrs 25 mins 89th - gazevo - 4hrs 28 mins (with no rear brake ;D) Apologies to others - I'm crap with names ;D |

17th? Don't know what happened to the other 8 then because I was 9th across the line! (According to statto in the tent) I think Thistle was told he was about 5th I wish! I think that first climb killed a lot of people off. I was near the front and someone had snapped their chain halfway up Bwlch Penbarras. |

I had a count through and think there were about 37 people infront of me on the 72km Im guessing a few of them bailed and done the shorter route so Im happy with that . I was number 1211 and finished at 15.01
