The Annual Firefighters race is set to take place at Coed Llandegla on Sunday the 18th October 2009. Supported By One Planet Adventure, Alf Jones Cycles Wrexham, and TilHill forestry.
The race is open to all, not just fire fighters, and takes place within the forest confines, many parts which most will have not have ridden before.
Guest cat's are
16-18
19-29
30-39
40-49
and Ladies 18+. 3/4 laps of 4/6 miles and 2/3 laps for ladies +vets.
Entry fee( non refundable) is only £8 for Fire service Staff and £10 for general public (£13 and £15 after 8th October)
fee includes soup and a roll ! All profits go to the FireFighters Charity.
Registration opens at 10.30 race starts 12.15 prompt.
Full medical coverage is to be supplied by North Wales Mountain Rescue.
For those not familiar with the event, it's a really friendly atmosphere, with many people having there first go at a real 'race'. It's an exciting and challenging course with plenty of technical sections, but nothing to be scared of!!
