Just done this today and really enjoyed it, No problem off the general pubic on the sections which the race used, Got held up by other competitors really. Was completely to different to doing an enduro, Couldnt believe the speed at which the lads at the front went off the start line!!! Finished 11th in my age category, in 1hr 27 mins, done all 3 laps in roughly the same time so was well pleased with that. Saw Gazevo out on the course doing a bit of watchin too. ;D May do a few more of these races next year. Anyone else out today?? Thanks to the organisers for running a slick event and One planet for the soup & roll at the finish.

I'd just like to say a 'BIG THANK YOU' to all who entered to days race, really good turn out. From those who did race you will know that there is very little conflict with trail riders, it's the best we can do with what we have to work with, in an ideal world we would get the center shut and use it all, be we can't! We do try and make it as interesting and exciting as we can, and i hope people who did race it thought that? Thanks also to One Planet for hosting us, TillHill for use of the Forest,North Wales MTN Rescue for medical coverage all the marshalls who gave up there own time to help us out. But mostly to all the people who turned up and had a go, it may be your first time or you may be a seasoned racer, it matters not , everyone there gave it 100% and i hope enjoyed the day, i know i did! and it makes all the hard work of getting an event together worth it. Thanks guys and see you next year?

Nice one on 11th place there.
How long was the course in the end? 3x6mile laps in 1.5 hours is a stonking 13.5mph average?

i think i was 11th in the middle aged fat gits 30-39!!! ;D I couldnt beleive the pace at the start!!! They must have had engines to pull up that hill, I dont know what time the winner done it in yet??? Happy with my pace, Just had a look at my HR monitor, Max was 197 , (Didnt think i could rev that much???) Avg for the race was 170, Considering my recommended Max HR should be 184 i must have been pushing as hard as i could!!! Dont see those kind of figures on a merida marathon (Dyfi enduro is a different story though ) So where were you today pete??
