So as part of my Alps training Aled "3Orange" Jones has been whipping me round Degla for the past few weeks, and as he has broken his Five (& 224 ) he is currently 1Orange and has been riding his P7 Hardtail, as if he wasn't quick enough already ;D Tonight even with a quick Pee Pee stop at the top of the main climb I did a 1:17:37 (it would of been 1:14:24 ) too much damn coffee in the office

So as Aled is off the bike this week I replaced him with James Hetfield and I got all serious about waving, Small camelbak Tri-Bars, Aero helmet, Gimpsuit SPD's and I-Pod very loud With my trainers comments ringing in my ears, 1:06:20 to beat (I know you weren't trying Oggy but I needed a time to aim for) and after 1:06:42 seconds I arrived back at the start and nearly swallowed my tongue I make that 11 mins off my previous best and am well chuffed, I'm either finally getting fitter or the trails really are running uber quick. www.endomondo.com/workouts/qqFkTuHIiug

I know it is not our normal patch but, I took the Missus up Whinlatter last weekend and after doing the blue then red (south loop) with her she'd had enough by then. So she suggested I did a lap of the 10km Red (North loop) as a "Willy waggle"....her words not mine ;D So I had a blast around blind for the 1st time and wow, what a brilliant trail...loved it. Not sure if my time is any good but I treated it as a race and was absolutely bust at the end Whinlatter Red (north loop) 39m 47s

All sections are now fully open at Degla after the harvesting on the JJ's section, not as bad as I thought it was going to be, the only tree loss is at the top of the little climb leading up to the black bridge and is only about a 500 yard section Was on course for a decent full wave but the bloody phone rang and I had to take the call therefore I will put a marker up of 1h 23m 42s should of been 1:19:00 oh well always next week ;D www.endomondo.com/workouts/oiWr_DYSki0
