I commute to work every most days, a round trip of 15 miles. I also go swimming twice a week, do about 1500 meters a visit I'm also try to run a couple of times a week but struggle to fit it in. Im aiming to do a 'sprint' triathlon in April. Never done one before, so should be a challenge

hi reps low weight, i find that hard though when the bloke next to me has got bigger plates on his bar and thinks i,m a big girl with my little dumbells Thats the trap that most people in the gym fall in to. I may get a gym instructor to do me a cycle specific workout so, if i have it on paper then it maybe easier to do the high rep low weight stuff rather than stuffing creatine down my neck and puffing my chest out ;D

talking of creatine, has anyone had experience of the 'new creatine' beta alanine? i picked up on an article in cycling fitness about it and thought i,d give it a try. not really a great endurance type anyway but it seems to have improved my stamina after 2 weeks taking it, i felt really strong in the legs and not gasping as much when i spun round llandegs on sunday, might be the placebo effect though!

Ive used creatine in the past with great effect for weight training, seriously incresed strength and stamina in the gym, i could push much higher weights for much longer with faster recovery. As for cycling i felt that it didnt do anything, strange how much it effected me in the gym but with next to no cycling benift, it could have been due to my strength being good at the time but my cardio fitness being poor. Perhaps now my cadio fitness is better then the creatine may have a great effect on my cycling. Havent heard of beta alanine but sounds intresting

Im a bit of a short bread guy to, granted its a bit of a grandad biscuit but it is some good shlt Perhaps the one biscuit that is better than the caramel choc digestive is the Caramel choc hobnob, thats what dreams are made of. I imagined you as a pink waffer man Arnie

A Jaffa Cake may be a cake but it still beats a digestive as far as a snack goes As far as the winter diet goes, I swap from white to red wine and try to eat less cake. Excluding Jaffa Cakes obviously
