Have you had experience of this then, perhaps thats why Santa Cruz offer don't offer red as anodised an option on any of their bikes. Red has always been a dodgy colour to anodise (something about the colour red not being in the spectra of the oxide) and I think a red dye needs to be added to the tanks to achieve the colour. It always ends up wearing/washing off and going pink. I think the technology is there to do it now but I think it always tends to come out as a slightly dark shade. I'd avoid it and go for powder coat or paint.

Powder coat, definitely. You'll get a good finish and a really tough paintjob

I wouldn't anodise it red mate. It'll end up a horrid shade of pink, always does. Have you had experience of this then, perhaps thats why Santa Cruz offer don't offer red as anodised an option on any of their bikes. Don't know what ruddy colour to go for now! What goes nice with silver forks and red skewers.... don't say black ;D Candy Apple,white- see if you can get it to slightly change colour with the light, like these boy racer cars, TIDY

Steve at J&S paints has a colour with a finish very close to what I want to achieve, which is brill, not sure if I should get my forks done Red against silver forks . Anyway got this email from Jungle regarding the warrant...oooh errrr. Hello Adrian, It is not the anodising process per se that invalidates the warranty, it is that the process of stripping a frame of its paint and reapplying another coat, be it anodised or paint can have dramatic affects on the structural integrity of a frame if not done right. As such, the default position for a refinished frame is that there is no warranty as there is no way of validating the work being carried out Having said that, we do take every case by itself, and if the work is carried out professionally we will still consider the case should there be any kind of warranty claim Regards, Mark Jungle Products Ltd

It was because the paint sprayers used 21psi in the guns instead of 20. This combined with the gloss they were using caused the bridge to be severely weakened. It can now only hold 5,000,000 tonnes. If only they had used matte paint Sounds like a great get out clause for jungle products. Respect
