Only kidding, i seen it in the flesh on friday and it is one really high quality job, looks the biz m8, got me thinking of a spray tan for the VP Ta! ;D Go for it Oggy, stip it yourself first though it will save you a bundle. I have loads of paint stripper left your welcome to if you do decide to give the VP a makeover.

Looks ace mate, like brand new. I bet you're happy with the finish that J&S are capable of, better than manufacturer standard isn't it. Glad you did it?

Yeah really glad I did it, the finish is top draw much better than the manufacturer, J&S come highly reccomended, thanks for pointing me in Steve's direction . Thing is I want all the other bits to be new now, will have to settle for new decals for my forks, and perhaps a new seat. I did get a new hope headset as I was having problems with my cane creek.

Now that looks fantastic, I'm considering getting my 5Spot done, so can I echo Dave's question, who and how much? also did they do the paint stripping for you too?

I did the stripping myself, but Steve did blast it anyway as there were some stubborn bits left on, its a metalic paint and he put primer on first and laquored over the decals. he hung the frame up to dry so top job. The price is from £150. Cheaper than a new bike

I nearly lost the will to live when I stripped the Laquer and polished my Morning Glory to raw naked Ti. So someone able to do blasting gentle enough for an ally frame would be great. I was thinking of sending my frame to Argos, but to be honest I do prefer to splash my cash local as you can talk face to face with the person doing the work. Could you possibly PM me his details please, as I suspect he'll be getting a call later this month when I strip my frame down.

Call Steve at J&S on 01248 600150 Steve and Jamie do some fantastic work with paint, some of their restorations on vintage motorbike panels/tanks will blow your mind. I think Ady's £150 was including the blasting. Ady, you need to Helitape around the cable rub areas before you ride it in anger! Be a shame to mess it up after a lap of the Marin.

I know will get some cable rub patches and a chain guide, I lost my fork cable guide so will have to order one of them to, Ta m8.
