wish some berms could be added on some of the tight corners on the last descents, would really add to the "flow" like you find at the trail centres down south (brechfa etc) That would be cracking, Phil. www.youtube.com/watch?v=neFtjROagpg

I'd said Penmachno is far more remote than Marin

I usually ride them on my own.
Doing Penmachno at night probably wasn't the best of ideas (although it was fun). Regularly do the Marin on my own, if you go at a weekend in the daytime there's plenty of people about, at night it gets a bit quieter.

Plenty of people around on the weekends unless the weather is awful. Penmachno possibly a bit quiter though.
I regularly ride both on my own, just take a phone and mayby let someone know when to expect your return.

The start of the last descent has come on well! Tidy little step offs really get you motoring! Just a pity those damn berms have been put in at the bottom of the first descent. They really break the flow . I was almost tempted to straight line them into the old stream bed yesterday morning. On the other hand the berms put in above the steep skull and cross bones drop down to Hafna work a treat! ;D

Maybe it just takes a lot of getting used to and to get the hang of going around them fast. The little drops on the next one seem pointless unless they've done more work on them since Wed. They're only kerb high and you can ride off kerbs on the road. It seemed too much like a copy of the Minotaur at Coed y Brenin The problem is, you can't keep everyone happy ;D Had the fallen trees all been cleared?
