Hi Aled hope all is well. I did the Marin yesterday. The basic layout is still there with a few banked curves and roll overs at the end of a couple of trails. The main New trail is as Tony mentioned above is on the steep Betws road. The trail starts at the turn around or 'little layby' it is taped off at present. But I did notice a new fire road has been laid too.

why take the easy route, when there is a harder one available

New section now open. Rode it today. Congratulations to the trail builders. Job well done. Don't get duped by the start, get your gears set for some uphill switchbacks. It's a long section and well worth a visit if you haven't been for a while.

I rode the new section today and technically I thing its the hardest part of the Marin. The switch backs are tight with a lot of height to gain and the downs are quick and feel like they will bite. There is a couple of big table tops/step ups but with the rain in the last couple of days its gone very muddy and needs a while to bed in. I do hope they haven't opened it to early??? I do think they need to maybe regrade it and give the option of the fire road instead as I almost took a couple people who were pushing down the drops etc. Overall its a great addition here's hoping to more upgrades.
