Nice helmet head Gaz. It's been a while since I've seen an 'El Diablo' of that calibre.
Not content with just sporting a fine example of a 'Nant yr Arian Bouffant', The Maestro proudly shows it off with some badaaass attitude. Not the expression of an embarrassed, sheepish victim caught with a shameful hairstyle here, but of a man who is proud of his bouffant and is prepared to snarl and grimace in order to defend it.
I think we can all learn from Oggy that a bit of attitude lends itself well when caught short with your lid off. I hope to see people learning from his example and displaying some 'helms with attitude' in the coming months.

A quality gaggle of helms there Oggy. Good to see Davydonn and his 'ole faithful' making a reappearance Damon's come up trumps with a 'Bear Paw', very rare. Sweet! Good to see more female members getting in on the action too. Nice 'Florence'! Can we put some names to the helms please? It'll help with the end of year poll. Cheers

I suspect that Waynetta may have cheated just to get her barnet on here, so she's been disqualified and sent back to Colwyn Bay Zoo sedated in the back of a Land Rover. How did i know she cheated? No strap marks under her chin. F*cking amateur. To all you gelheads, bedheads and styling mousse mincers out there, do you dare enter the realm of helm?

Just when you think you've seen it all, along comes a man with the VW logo on top of his head, made entirely out of sweaty hair.
I salute you sir, and your vorsprung durch technik helmet head.

Dear helmet head followers, It's been a bit of a quiet year for me on the cycling front, and as a result I have somewhat neglected my helmet head duties. Namely, raising awareness of hair-raising issues, capturing the craziest styles for your enjoyment, and then writing some puerile tat about each submission. Fear not, friends of the sweaty follicle, for I haven't been resting on my laurels, no! I have been languishing on my fat arse instead, mostly eating chocolate and sampling many fine beers whilst thinking of ways to improve the Helmet Head thread. Some are great ideas, others I can't remember; but rest assured that in 2011 the realm of helm will rise again like a sweaty phoenix from the flames off a Troy Lee helmet! I have a new cameraphone, a new(ish) bike and a gut the size of a Bedford Rascal to work off in the new year, so lets get this show on the road again! Keep your submissions coming in. They're appreciated by everyone who's looked at this thread and had a good laugh at the barnets on offer. Due to the lack of competition this year, there will be no Helmet Head polls this xmas. However all the entries for 2010 (and there are a couple of blinders ) will be carried on as contenders in the 2011 Helmet Head of the Year poll. Can't wait to start getting on some forum rides again next year. I look forward to seeing and embarassing you all
