We are both on for the full ride from Wrexham - the boy killed me on the Rhyl ride which although only 100km was pretty extreme so I think we should manage the 100 mile OK as there is considerably less climbing involved!!

Hopefully I will get some time over the weekend to draw up my advertising posters and step up the fundraising after the easter break.

Hi Phil, I've changed my route a lot so I'll meet you in Rhuthun, making my mileage closer to 60 miles for the day - more of a challenge for me. How do we get our offline sponsorship added to the onllne page? I've got about £60 so far.

Davy, If you're starting off from home then I'll join you for the ride over to Ruthin if you want. I'll either meet you at Dyserth somewhere or somewhere nearer Gwaeny. Will probably be coming back to Gwaeny aswell so can keep you company on the way back aswell

How's about you ride to me from Gwaeny and then we head towards Rhuallt and follow the quiet lanes through to Rhuthun to meet Phil & Co? I'll then ride back with you to Gwaeny and then we have both done the same miles (unless you're mental and riding from Flint to Gwaeny first )?

Welcome aboard Si
Not long now. I've been commuting to work as much as possible to get some training in and with the weekends extended pie run I hope I've done enough Anyone got any tips in the build up: - should we have some rest days before the event?
- what should we eat the day before?
- what should we put in the water bottle?
- is it advisable to go on an all day bender the friday before (I put that one in for you Si ;D)
All advice welcome

Anyone got any tips in the build up: When I rode to Rhos and back (Rhos on Sea, not the one by Wrexham ;D) I just ate like normal the night before, had breakfast like normal and took 2 drinks bottles of squash. Tesco value blackcurrant ;D Refilled half way at my parents after stopping for lunch (light lunch, not a sunday roast or anything) then rode back. Had to stop near Connah's Quay for some chocolate coz i was fooked by then so took the opportunity to have a cup of tea too After that the finish line was in sight so I was OK. I wasn't particularly fit at the time, just quite determined so you'll be fine. Just take plenty to drink and if you get a chance to refill with something sensible take it. Stop for some lunch and a breather, but not too long or you'll stiffen up (not that way ) Excessive consumption of Malt Loaf will damage your health: You'll be fine as long as Soreen don't turn up as sponsors ;D

is it advisable to go on an all day bender the friday before (I put that one in for you Si ;D) ;D ;D ;D what should we eat the day before? If Punk at Whinlatter is anything to go by steer clear of pizza and cheesecake what should we put in the water bottle? On my longer rides recently I've been taking a bottle of squash with 1 teaspoon of salt and 2 (to taste) of sugar. Does wonders if you feel cramp coming on. So you in now then Penguin Not sure. I've already been requesting sponsorship money from everyone I know for Colin's ride so don't think I have the potential to raise any more from any friends/family/colleagues.
